Downton green network

Seedy Sunday..... if you missed it.....

We recently 'networked' with the local Brownies - who have made some brilliant posters to encourage people to think about environmental issues.  You might have seen some of them up around the village - click here for the gallery where you can see them all.

The Brownies made some environmental fortune tellers, with tips on how people can make small change to their life-style to benefit the planet - next steps are to actively think about what else they can do to get the message across.

Brownies going green

Lots of people came to our recent event and were able to go away with flower and veg plants / seeds / goodies from sustainable sources.  We then held another plant swap stall outside the library one Saturday in May.

The left over spare seeds to swap will be at the 'Fridays' event at the Memorial Hall - so you can come along then and either take what you want, or add your spares to our collection.
You can buy small quantities of seeds from our regular supplier More Veg via their website.
Bees and botanicals products can also be purchased online.
Alison Pritt's willow products are available online too from her website.
Lover Repair Cafe will be pleased to see you at one of their regular sessions.
