Refuse single use plastic wherever you can.  This is not easy, when single use plastics are everywhere, and sometimes convenience overrides all other considerations.  However, you could try some of these ideas some of the times and being more conscious can help to change habits:

• Refuse to buy single use plastic water bottles - take your own refillable one
• Refuse to buy single use disposable drinks cups - take your own
• Avoid buying fruit and veg wrapped in plastic  - take your own re-usable produce bags to wrap your fruit and veg
• Refuse to use plastic straws

Refuse to support companies which harm the environment - choose to buy local or from a producer who is aiming to be sustainable
